Italy’s head coach Luciano Spalletti has announced the squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifying matches against North Macedonia and Ukraine. The squad includes some notable names, with Paris Saint Germain’s Gianluigi Donnarumma leading the goalkeepers and Inter’s Alessandro Bastoni and Francesco Acerbi among the defenders.
“We are confident in the squad that we have selected for these important matches,” said Spalletti. “We have a good mix of experienced players and young talent, and we believe they have the quality to get the job done.”
The midfield is anchored by Arsenal’s Jorginho and Juventus’ Manuel Locatelli, while in attack, the likes of Juventus’ Federico Chiesa and Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi will be expected to provide the goals.
“We are pleased to have such a strong group of players to choose from,” Spalletti added. “We are ready to face the challenges that lie ahead and are determined to secure our place at Euro 2024.”
The Italian national team will be hoping to maintain their strong form in the qualifiers and secure their place at the European Championship.
