Former Italy national team head coach Cesare Prandelli has praised Luciano Spalletti’s work with the Italian squad, in an interview with Radio Anch’io Sport.
Prandelli explained that a coach does not wait until the last two days to make a call-up, but rather has a staff monitoring the growth of their players. He acknowledged the strong impact of Spalletti’s approach, emphasizing the need to rejuvenate the team.
When asked about the decision to exclude Immobile from the squad and include Scamacca and Raspadori, Prandelli said there should be no debate about a coach’s choices. He highlighted Scamacca and Raspadori’s recent international impact, urging trust in the players.
According to Prandelli, the most important game for Italy is the upcoming match against North Macedonia. He advised the players to focus on winning this game without making calculations.
