Inzaghi on Salernitana: Proud of the Performance

Salernitana’s coach, Filippo Inzaghi, praised his team’s outstanding performance after their victory against Verona. Inazghi communicated his thoughts post-match via DAZN.

Talking on the performance of the team, Inzaghi was evidently impressed. “I am very proud, today was an extraordinary performance: we played very well, with a lot of personality, suffered very little, deserved a few more goals. I am very proud of them, I have always tried to defend them, they have followed me from the first day, they love me,” he said.

In Inzaghi’s eyes, his team has rediscovered their form to become the Salernitana that he, the fans and the president admire. During tough times, the support received from these parties was significant to him. He expressed: “Once we found physical condition we returned to being the Salernitana that I, the fans and the president like, who in these days have helped me a lot.”

Inzaghi also expressed delight at being able to gift this significant victory, especially considering the special occasion. He added: “I am happy to have given this great joy. Today is my partner’s birthday, I knew this day was going to bring something special.”

Regarding Tachouna, a player who Inzaghi believes has strong potential, he expressed his admiration. “I have been crazy about him from the first day, growing up he will find continuity, he can become a crack if he continues to work as he is doing.”

Inzaghi emphasised his demanding nature is to help the player and the team excel, which he believes they understand. After the two previous matches, he had a sense they were poised for this victory. He acknowledged there’s still a long journey ahead, as they stay at the bottom of the league, but remained optimistic stating, “There is everything to do well”.
