Inter, Lautaro’s benching shows difference with Europe’s big clubs

Despite being the star player and highest goal scorer of Inter Milan, Lautaro Martinez was started from the bench three times in the Champions League. This has unveiled Inter’s seasonal target and the real disparity between it and the top European clubs, according to Tuttosport.

Contrary to this approach, none of the other talent at big clubs have found themselves on the bench during match starts. For instance, Carlo Ancelotti opted to field Jude Bellingham in Berlin last Tuesday for an entire match, even after Real Madrid had secured prime qualifying spot. This strategy was mirrored by Thomas Tuchel of Bayern Munich, who also fielded Harry Kane in Manchester.

Furthermore, the stars from PSG and Atletico Madrid, Kylian Mbappé and Antoine Griezmann, have always been in the starting line up. The only exception to this seems to be Erling Haaland, who missed out on the recent match between Red Star and Manchester City due to injury. These insights were reported by Tuttosport.
