Frosinone former mayor: De Laurentiis will remember us for a long time

Former mayor of Frosinone, Nicola Ottaviani, has taken to social media to mock Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis following an astonishing 4-0 victory by Frosinone at Maradona stadium.

Ottaviani recalled an incident that happened on 19th August when Napoli faced Frosinone. It is alleged that De Laurentiis had cursed in front of a young fan who had the audacity to ask one of Napoli’s players for a photo.

In a video posted on social media, Ottaviani quoted the young fan saying to him, “Remind De Laurentiis of the four goals Frosinone delivered to his Napoli, he will remember them for a long time.” This statement refers to the surprising victory Frosinone claimed over Napoli.

Ottaviani described the victory as a “Christmas fairy tale”, using the youngster’s rebuke to poke fun at De Laurentiis and Napoli’s unexpectedly poor performance.
