Following Fiorentina’s draw against Roma, defender Martinez Quarta shared his thoughts on the match with DAZN.
“We’re disappointed we ended up with a draw, we could’ve done more after the two dismissals,” Quarta said.
After Roma scored, they adopted a more defensive strategy. Quarta noted, “They locked themselves up, we accept this point and look forward. We are a bit disappointed; we could have won, but now our focus shifts to Thursday.”
Speaking about his goal he said: “The coach gives me this freedom to integrate a bit when I see the right moment, then I play the attacker.”
His comments highlight the sense of regret within the Fiorentina side after being unable to fully capitalise on Roma’s two ejections. Regardless, Quarta seems determined to focus on their forthcoming Thursday match.
