Fiorentina, Nardella on Franchi: Unjustified defunding

Florence Mayor Dario Nardella has discussed the possible renovation of Fiorentina’s Artemio Franchi Stadium with Radio Bruno. Nardella said that this is an important week as tomorrow there will be a hearing at the TAR of Lazio regarding the appeal they made against the government’s decision to remove €55m of funding for the stadium’s renovation. The Mayor believes the decision is completely unmotivated and illegitimate. Nardella mentioned that institutions should take responsibility in such cases involving public works. He also pointed out that, so far, they have not received any concrete signs of willingness from the government despite sending letters and attending meetings.
