Feyenoord remains 7 points behind PSV; Impressive Timber: a goal, two posts, beats AZ Alkmaar

Feyenoord responded to PSV Eindhoven’s victory by securing a win against AZ Alkmaar, thanks to a fantastic performance from Quinten Timber and maintaining a 7-point gap from the top of the league. PSV had no problems defeating Zwolle 4-0 earlier in the day.

Feyenoord, the reigning Dutch champions, faced AZ Alkmaar in a match to determine who would claim second place in the standings. The decisive goal came from Timber midway through the first half, with the player also striking the woodwork twice during the game.

Star strikers Gimenez and Pavlidis had limited opportunities to make an impact in the game. However, Feyenoord’s victory was well deserved as their opponents struggled to create any chances. Goalkeeper Bijlow was not required to make any significant saves throughout the match.
