Deschamps: I’m very upset about what happened to Pogba

In an interview with Le Parisien, Didier Deschamps, the coach for the French national team, spoke about the circumstances surrounding Juventus’ midfielder Paul Pogba and his commuted doping suspension. Deschamps voices his concern for the player, recounting both recent incidents as well as past struggles.

“I love all my players, but I’m saddened by what Paul is going through,” Deschamps told Le Parisien, explaining that it’s not just recent events leaving him troubled, but also the personal issues that have had serious impacts on Pogba’s injury status.

Deschamps described Pogba as a strong person with character but points out that what the football star has been through recently could be overwhelming for any individual player. The French coach’s comments come at a time when Pogba’s athletic performance and personal life have been under intense scrutiny from the public and media.
