Carnevali hits back at Roma disputes: No one should teach Sassuolo anything

Before Sassuolo’s match against Cagliari, their Chief Executive Officer Giovanni Carnevali addressed the recent controversies with Roma.

Carnevali said, “We already expressed our point of view last week, but when it comes to fair play, hospitality and respect for opponents, no one needs to teach Sassuolo anything.” He made these comments in response to ongoing discussions about the club’s conduct with their Serie A counterparts.

He further implied that as club officials, they are expected to set an example. Carnevali did not expand on what these controversies with Roma were, but his statement comes after a week of discussions around the topic.
