Union Berlin defender, Leonardo Bonucci, is currently in Italy for the Christmas holidays and contact with Roma continues.

Reports from the ‘Corriere dello Sport’ suggest that Roma are pressing ahead with negotiations to bring the former Juventus captain back to Serie A. The motivating factor for the move apparently being his desire to return to his home country to increase his chances of selection for Euro 2024.
