Bologna coach, Thiago Motta, spoke out after his team’s victory against Salernitana in a conversation with DAZN.
Speaking on the away victory, Motta expressed, “Yes, it was a huge target to achieve this away win. We played exceptionally well in the first half and managed to secure the defence too. The second half was a bit more complicated as we could have sealed the match earlier. However, I believe we deserved this victory.”
Discussing the maturity shown during the game, Motta reflected, “Yes, the last 15 minutes were complex. We successfully maintained a hold on the match until the end. We deservedly won this game.”
Thiago had words of praise for the whole team, including Saelemaekers. “I, along with his other team-mates, am greatly impressed by his performance. We, as a group, are very content. There’s a solid group; some didn’t get to play today, and I do feel sorry for those who didn’t get a chance. Some players participate a bit less, but everyone gives their best and contributes. Ferguson? He leads his companions and does a captain’s job. I’m pleased to have him among us.”
Commenting on Kristiansen’s gameplay, Motta stated: “Yes, he’s a remarkable player who’s improving immensely. He and Lykogiannis are performing well on the flank; they have done well and are having a great championship.”
When asked if Zirkzee has the potential to be a top player, Motta simply said, “It depends on him.”
