Toma Basic, the central midfielder, is reportedly on the verge of accepting a move to Salernitana, a club that showed interest in the player in recent days. Lazio, the current club of Basic, is understood to be comfortable with the move. A couple of days ago, the club from the Italian capital had requested Basic to consider proposals from Italy for tax reasons related to an investment made a few years ago.

Freiburg, a German club with clear interest in the player, has allegedly stepped out of the race. Salernitana appears to have moved ahead of Verona in securing Basic’s services. Lazio, now, is believed to cautiously monitor any market opportunities but without any sense of urgency.

There has been speculation linking Lazio with Florian Neuhaus, a central midfielder from Borussia Monchengladbach. However, there seems to be no concrete evidence backing these rumours. At least for now, it seems to be just another name floating in the transfer market. Lazio is likely to decide on any next steps at a later stage.
