Former Inter midfielder, Wesley Sneijder, has voiced his discontent over the possibility of having a female coach for a male football team. This topic was discussed during his recent appearance on the sports talk show ‘Voetbal’.
In no uncertain terms, Sneijder stated, “In my opinion, we are exaggerating. Perhaps things have changed now, but if I think back to myself… I could never imagine being coached by a woman in the locker room, with all the talks, even the funny ones, that would ensue”.
To clarify his standpoint, Sneijder was swift to point out that he harbours no ill-will towards women. “It should be clear that I have nothing against women, but I think we’re going a bit crazy”, he further added on Voetbal.
