The next edition of the Italian Super Cup, which will feature Napoli, Internazionale, Fiorentina, and Lazio, is facing potential issues, according to a report in the Corriere della Sera. The tournament is scheduled to take place from January 21 to 25.
However, the chosen host nation, Saudi Arabia, is reportedly not pleased with the inclusion of Fiorentina and Lazio, considering them to be smaller clubs. As a consequence, it has been proposed to reschedule the tournament to February, to distance it from the Spanish edition.
However, Internazionale and Napoli, both involved in the Champions League, have reportedly already rejected this proposition, as reported by the Corriere della Sera. It is yet to be seen how this matter will be resolved, and what impact it could have on the future of the Italian Super Cup.
