Paris Saint-Germain’s Achraf Hakimi was absent from training today due to “personal reasons,” the club has revealed. Despite this, PSG has confirmed that he will be available for the match against Nantes.
However, reports from French media suggest that the real reason behind the absence of the former Inter Milan player was due to an obligation to appear before the French prosecutor’s office. He was reportedly summoned to provide a statement in relation to a rape charge levelled against him last March.
It was nine months ago that a 24-year-old woman accused Hakimi, alleging that he raped her on the night of February 25. The French prosecutor’s office has not commented on these recent developments.
