Monza, Galliani: Berlusconi and I tried to choose certain people, educate them and pass on certain values

Monza’s vice president Adrian Galliani held a press conference to announce the team’s initiative to combat and prevent violence against women. Galliani stated, “The Serie A league will be making initiatives related to the fight against violence against women. The match against Torino will have great visibility and we thought it was the right opportunity to talk about it.”

He further explained that Motorola will remove its branding to display a meaningful message. Galliani said, “The league has agreed, it seems like a great act of social responsibility. The players have responded positively because they are good boys. They are all generous, it’s a beautiful group where they are good off the field as well as on the green rectangle.”

He emphasized that this initiative is credited to Motorola and highlighted that Monza does not want to be seen as a model for anyone or come across as preachy. The message on their jersey, ‘He was the man of my dreams, now he’s my nightmare,’ will be seen by millions of people during the match and convey an important message.

Galliani expressed his deep concern about the issue, stating, “I feel this thing a lot because I read too much about femicides. It’s something aberrant.” The Monza team is committed to using their platform to raise awareness about this crucial issue and take a stand against violence towards women.
