Juventus Made Official Announcement of Djalò’s Arrival

Juventus has confirmed the signing of Portuguese centre-back Tiago Djalò from Lille. The club provided more details in an official statement.

In their announcement, Juventus FC stated, “Tiago Djalò is a new player for Juventus. The Portuguese defender, born in 2000, joins Juventus permanently from LOSC Lille and has signed a contract that ties him to our colours until 2026. Standing at one metre ninety, Tiago is a centre-back who relishes duels and is physically strong, but at the same time, is capable of setting up the play given his time in the youth teams as a defensive midfielder. Having grown up in Portugal, specifically with Sporting CP, Djalò moved from the Portuguese side to Milan in January 2019 where, still an 18-year-old, he was added to the Primavera team. He made 15 appearances with the Under 19 Milan team in the second half of the 2018/2019 season, before saying goodbye to Italy and landing in France with Lille, where he stayed until his transfer to Juventus. In the French city, the 23-year-old Portuguese had significant seasons, making over 100 appearances in all competitions – exactly 102 – winning an unforgettable Ligue 1 title and a French Super Cup against PSG, and most importantly, significantly growing technically and personally. Welcome, Tiago!”
