Bologna Football Club are reportedly close to signing Argentinian striker Santiago Castro from Velez Sarsfield. This information was detailed in a report by Italian sports newspaper, ‘Corriere dello Sport’. Castro has been eyed as an ideal replacement for Zirkzee.

The report pegs the transfer cost at €9.1 million plus additional taxes, bringing the total spend to around about €12 million, a sum based on Castro’s release clause. The desire to meet this clause has been strongly conveyed by the club president himself, it has emerged from the same report.
