Bologna Secures Ilic: Now Three More Moves for Motta on the Horizon

Bologna FC has effectively secured Partizan Belgrade’s young Serbian defender, Mihajlo Ilic, for 4.5 million euros plus an additional one million in bonuses. The deal was made known through a video call, according to Italian sports newspaper, Corriere dello Sport.

In addition, Bologna is eager to finalize three other deals that have been on the table for about a month. The potential transfers include Santiago Castro from Velez Sarsfield, an Argentinian forward born in 2004, Brazilian forward Talles Magno of New York City, born in 2002, and 25-year-old French defender Kelvin Amian from Spezia.

Bologna’s Giovanni Sartori and Marco Di Vaio are making every effort to complete at least one deal by the end of Sunday. However, it will be a considerable endeavour, as international transfers necessitate careful scrutiny, especially on the part of the purchasing club.

Top officials at the Casteldebole-based club believe that definitive decisions will be postponed until the start of next week, following Bologna’s match against Cagliari. If this comes to pass, it would be an optimal outcome for coach Thiago Motta as he would have two full weeks to work with the new additions to the squad.

This comes in the wake of Fiorentina’s commitment to a Supercoppa tie meaning Bologna will have a Sunday’s championship round off and will next play on January 27 at San Siro against Milan.
