Mourinho expelled from Roma, will miss clash with Milan

In a tense finish to Roma’s clash with Atalanta, manager Jose Mourinho found himself shown the red card following a heated dispute with referee Aureliano over an alleged missed foul. Known as the ‘Special One’, Mourinho had started protesting against the officiating late on in the match.

The referee, who had earlier cautioned Mourinho at the beginning of the second half, had no choice but to issue the Portuguese manager with the dreaded red card as his remonstrations continued.

Subsequently, Mourinho will miss the upcoming away fixture against Milan at San Siro due to the ban incurred from this dismissal.
