Inter’s Lautaro sets new record: surpasses Vieri and Milito

Inter Milan captain, Lautaro Martinez, scored his 29th goal of the calendar year in a match against Lazio, thus surpassing the records of fellow Inter icons Vieri and Milito. This was shared in a recent issue of the Italian sports publication, Tuttosport.

Martinez’ achievement now places him above Vieri who netted 28 goals in 2001, and also Milito who repeated the same feat in 2012.

Furthermore, the Argentinian forward edges closer to benchmarks set by other legendary figures in Inter’s history, such as Meazza, who scored 30 goals in 1930, and Angelillo who managed 31 goals in 1958.

The official narrative surrounding Lautaro’s scoring success continues to grow in Italy and abroad, as he provides an ongoing source of goals for his team. This year, it seems, may forever be remembered as The Year of Lautaro in the annals of Inter’s storied history.
