Mirabelli: Milan’s market has been subdued, talks about Ibrahimovic

Former AC Milan Sporting Director, Massimiliano Mirabelli, has provided his insights on the current state of the Rossoneri. Giving his views on a TVPlay interview, he highlighted the club’s challenges and opportunities during the ongoing season.

Mirabelli gave his assessment of Milan’s performance in the transfer market, remarking, “Perhaps they haven’t found important players there. Giroud is fantastic but he’s getting on in years. The Rossoneri lack in that area, even though the transfer market has been a bit subdued. We’ll have to see if something happens in the January market.”

Regarding Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s role in the team, Mirabelli stated: “He certainly has a lot of charisma. He can be a support for both coach Stefano Pioli and the executives, who are somewhat unaware of what’s going on with Milan. He can assist the other players, but matches are won by the champions who take to the field. Did Abbiati play a significant role in our experience? He was very important, and I’m sorry he left football. He always managed to share the right word.”

Mirabelli’s comments contribute to ongoing discussions about Milan’s strategies for success in the current season, particularly their decision-making in the transfer market and the utilization of their existing talents.
