Ancelotti expresses interest in Brazil, believes Italy is in good hands with Spalletti

Real Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has addressed rumors about his future, amid suggestions of a move to international football. Speaking to Tv7, the Italian tactician discussed potential roles with both Brazil and Italy.

Concerning the Brazilian national team, Ancelotti said: “I’m very happy here, but to get married, it always takes two. Is there interest from Brazil? Certainly there is. But my contract with Real expires in six months, there’s time to make the right decision. Would I like to be their coach? One day, why not. For an Italian to coach the national team would be beautiful.”

Yet, Ancelotti also voiced his support for Italy’s current management, claiming we’re in good hands with Luciano Spalletti, who he described as ‘a top coach’, highlighting his impressive work at Napoli over the last year as proof of his tactical intelligence.

The 62-year-old manager also shared thoughts on his fellow countryman, Massimiliano Allegri. Even though some critics suggest Allegri’s style of play isn’t exciting, Ancelotti defended him, arguing that his focus should be recognized for bringing Juventus back to the forefront of Italian football.

Moreover, Ancelotti gave a nod to José Mourinho, affirming that he’s pleased to see him at Roma as he believes Mourinho is the right man for the job.

Finally, addressing his personal ambitions, Ancelotti playfully revealed his post-coaching aspirations. “What do I want to be in my third life? A grandfather. What kind of grandfather am I? Like all grandparents, anything they ask from me they get – in that sense, I’m not very good at discipline.”

These comments have surely left fans speculating about the future of the Real Madrid coach, adding a new layer of intrigue to the rapidly changing landscape of international football.
